Still Life Photos

We were talking last week with a new friend, Gayathri Govind, as a preparation for an upcoming interview on this blog. It was nice to hear when she told me about her dancing career, that she has always been interested in many different dancing styles not just one.

I have the same feeling about studying photography. Nowadays profiling is a big trend, but i have many times the feeling that although certain colors or style does not match the line of photos i have done before, i just want to give them a try still. I am too interested in learning always something new and as a result of it sometimes not everything matches everything.

Even though i like many current trends, i think it is very important to explore and try as many different styles as possible. Not just in photography, but also in cooking, picking travel destinations, furnishing our home, living the life what fits us the most. Time might fly really so fast sometimes and at the end we might wake up once with the feeling that we wasted so many years by living the life of others without noticing it. Therefore it is good to have courage and collect all sort of experiences spontaneously since the things we collect on the side roads are sometimes the best memories afterwards.

  1. Excellent post :)
Photography is an art. If that is the case it is upto the artist to decide about the styles too. Art as you know is a creative entity and artists are creative people. If your creative mind ventures into previously unknown territories that is ok. And that is what creativity is all about !

    1. Thank you :) Yes, i think this is what creativity is all about. It is funny that one "should" not only study art, but also learn that creative freedom does not consist only of creativity but also of freedom.
