Naneka`s music includes elements from dub, hip hop, soul, reggae and afrobeat. She is of Nigerian origin and lives in Hamburg, Germany.

Nneka was 18 when she migrated to Germany and reflect in many of her songs to the conflicts and problems in her home country, Nigeria. She is half-German that is why she chose Germany to live in. Her songs tell us about "souls who sell themselves for the evil for lust, passion and money; from innocent people who hunger and starve to death and have to live under the suppression of civilized armed robbers. From a modern face of slavery."

According to her she was always aware of that she can sing, but she did not really plan to become a musician. In their rented apartment her flatmates were rapping and she was singing to it, using music as a tool to overcome homesickness, the cultural shock and the loneliness caused by moving to Germany.

I like her motto a lot " There is no certain category for my music. I simply always do that kind of music what I feel like doing."

Naneka zenéje különböző zenei stílusokat ötvöz, pl.: dub, hip hop, soul, raggae és afrobeat. Ő egyébként egy nigériai származású énekesnő, aki Hamburgban él. 


Nneka 18 évesen költözött Németországba, és sok számában foglalkozik a szülőhazájában, Nigériában, fellelhető aktuális konfliktusokkal. Félig német származású, ezért választotta Németországot úgymond második hazájának. Számaiban gyakran szó esik "magukat eladó lelkekről, akik gyönyörért, szenvedélyért, és pénzért eladják magukat; ártatlan emberekről, akik éheznek, és haldokolnak a felfegyverzett, civilizált rablók elnyomása alatt. Röviden a modern rabszolgaságról."


Elmondása szerint mindig is tudta, hogy jó hangja van, de sosem akart énekesnő lenni. A hamburgi albérletben, ahol lakott a srácok rappeltek, és ő velük énekelt. A zenét eszközként használta arra, hogy legyőzze a honvágyát, a kulturális sokkot, és az egyedüllétet, amit a Németországba való költözés okozott. 


Nagyon tetszik a mottója: " A zeném nem lehet semmilyen kategóriába besorolni, mert mindig csak egyszerűen azt csinálom, amihez épp kedvem van."
