To travel is also a state of mind

PHOTOS AND WRITING  BY MONIKA CSAPO

Two different photos, two different countries. The first: from a train trip to Kuopio (Finland). The second from Rio de Janeiro on the way up to the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain. On one of the photos is is snowy and it is getting dark. On the other even in the early evening the sky is bright as the moon is shining over the ocean. They are both beautiful but in a different way.

Lately I have been thinking how subjective traveling actually is. What places we find interesting, what we consider real traveling..Is there something called "real traveling" at all? We see photos from the same places from different people and standing at the same place someone calls himself a tourist while the other calls himself a traveler. I think no matter if we travel through an organized trip or organize everything by ourselves what we see will always depend on only who we actually are and how open we are to new experiences.
