100 days of honesty Day 93: Peace

I heard in an interview about the concept of triggers and consciously finding ways how to handle them. I find this concept really useful. Most people have repetitive behaviourial patterns so it is good to be aware of reoccurring problems. And think about finding a way to prevent their spiralling effect.

For example I decided to try to go offline one hour before bedtime. Because not getting enough sleep is definitely something what effects my everyday negatively sometimes.

Or there were many other trigger-like situations where other people can be involved. Not to shift responsibility from myself. It just made me aware how important it is to surround yourself with people who actually do care about your feelings. So even in case of conflicts you have someone loving around you not someone ignorant or someone who just cares about himself what triggers a conflict even more.

It is is a good feeling to know that to a big extent you can take care of yourself and shape your own life. Peace is like democracy and human rights a bit. Just because it has been achieved once it does not mean it will be there forever. It requires continuous work and awareness.
