Instituto Terra

If you have been looking for an interesting documentary, i recommend you the movie
The Salt of the Earth. It is about Sebastiao Salgado and his work as a photographer. An other remarkable Salgado-project is the Instituto Terra- this is not about photography, but it is just as interesting.

This weekend i also watched 20,000 Days on Earth which is about Nick Cave and his legacy. I will never forget when i was at the Flow Festival some years ago walking by the main stage where Nick Cave was performing. When they started to play Push the Sky Away those many thousands of people in front of the main stage got silent instantly within a second so i just had to stop to see what is going on. Listening to this song "by accident" has been one of the most powerful music-related memories of my life.

"There are moments that you suffer a lot, moments you won't photograph. There are some people you like better than others. But you give, you receive, you cherish, you are there. When you are really there, you know when you see the picture later what you are seeing." – Sebastiao Salgado
